Every dental office, law firm, and real estate practice we work with has the same blind spot: their website goes quiet after 5pm.

Not because they don’t care about leads. Because there’s genuinely been no good solution for it that didn’t require hiring someone to staff phones around the clock.

We kept seeing the same pattern. A practice would invest in a website, get decent traffic, and then lose a meaningful chunk of that traffic to after-hours dead ends. Someone visits at 9pm to ask if you’re accepting new patients. The contact form is there. But most people with a quick question don’t fill out a form โ€” they leave and try the next result.

What We Tried

Before building anything, we looked at what existed.

Generic chatbots answered questions badly and confidently โ€” which for a medical or legal office is worse than no answer at all. A dental chatbot that offers a guess about whether a medication is safe with a procedure creates liability, not convenience.

Live chat services required human availability. Most small practices don’t have someone available at 10pm, and the third-party agents these services provide know nothing about your specific office.

Contact forms work for people who are already committed to waiting. They don’t keep a visitor engaged. The ones with a quick question leave.

None of these solved the actual problem: a professional office needs something that can answer what it knows, capture contact details when someone needs follow-up, and get out of the way when the question requires a real person.

What We Built

Frontdesk Agent is an after-hours website assistant built specifically for professional offices.

It answers the questions it’s configured to answer โ€” hours, services, fees, whether you’re accepting new patients or new clients. When someone needs follow-up, it collects their name and contact information and sends that to your office inbox. Your team follows up the same way they would with any inquiry.

Two things we built in from the start:

Hard limits on advice. The assistant never gives medical, legal, or financial advice. This isn’t a toggle. It’s not something a customer can accidentally turn off. Clinical questions, legal questions, and anything requiring professional judgment get routed to your team โ€” the AI never attempts to answer them.

Transparent handoff. Visitors know they’re talking to an assistant, not a human. The ones who find this out after the fact tend to be annoyed. We’d rather be upfront about it.

Where It Stands

Frontdesk Agent is in private pilot now. A small number of Bay Area offices are using it. It installs with one script tag on your existing website. We configure it with your office’s specific information before it goes live.

The live demo is at frontdesk.linesightdigital.com/demo if you want to see exactly how it handles a real inquiry โ€” no signup required.

If you manage a dental office, law firm, or real estate practice and your website goes quiet after 5pm, get in touch. We’ll show you what it looks like configured for your specific office.
